Review
I have two “Brother To Brother” albums, and they’re both completely different. But neither of them really have a true identity, with varying vocals and arrangements, but that’s not a bad thing. These guys are funky for sure, and I enjoy their music to the fullest! Their sound is neither commercial nor is it underground…but it’s relatable. Major plus here, nothing on this album sounds disco-esque, not that there is anything wrong with disco, I like disco, however, a lot of bands went disco in 76, but “Brother To Brother” seemed to stick to their funk guns and drop another good album. Take notice of their pocket grooves on this LP…among other things. Enjoy…
Check out the sound!

Design
This is a very nicely designed LP cover, freehand illustration. The hand-drawn cloud type treatment is a nice touch, along with the unconventional color palette. Let Your Mind Be Free, this image is portraying that idea perfectly! It’s like freeing your mind to the higher plane of enlightenment or something. I can dig it though, two thumbs up here…
